Mr. Nishshaka De Silva is the founder of Global GIS PVT Ltd. He is a Registered Licensed surveyor (Reg.No-20172122) and one of the youngest surveyors who obtain survey license with the current survey act in Sri Lanka. He was born in Balapitiya and received basic education from Sumana Junior School and Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda. He has completed his Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Surveying science (special) from the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and completed a Master degree (M.Sc.) in Geoinformatics from Colombo University. Also, he is the vice-president of Sabaragamuwa University Survey Alumni Association (SUSAA) and a member of the Survey Institute of Sri Lanka (SISL).

He has good academic knowledge about surveying and published few research papers about GPS surveying. Also, He has worked in Debug group of Company, Lanka GPS PVT LTD, Jayasundara Associates and Survey Department of Sri Lanka. He has good practical experience as a surveyor in various surveying disciplines such as Road, Highway, Building, Forest, Coastal conservation, GPS, Geodetic Levelling, GIS, UAV mapping, Hydrographic and court commission surveying. He has attended many international workshops and training to increase his knowledge and give updated solutions for his clients and the following are main training participated by him Geospatial forum Colombo (2013), KOLIDA & PENTAX Survey equipment training (2014) China, Hydrographic Survey tidal data processing training (2016) Malang, Indonesia, ACRS 2016 Colombo, Teledyne Optech Terrestrial Laser scanning Training (2018) Bali, Indonesia and GEOMAX Survey equipment training (2020) Male, Maldives.
